The AOPA “You Can Fly!” High School Curriculum
The AOPA You Can Fly! Initiative was designed to help high schools train students for a career in aviation, either as a pilot, or as a remote aerial systems (also known as drones) operator. This program was started nationwide in the fall of 2018, and to date, more than 1000 schools across the United States use the AOPA program.
The Civil Air Patrol
The Civil Air Patrol (CAP) is a civilian auxiliary branch of the United States Air Force, and allows students to participate as cadets in aviation activities, and explore careers in aviation and in the military. You do not have to join the military to be a CAP Cadet.
The Experimental Aircraft Association
The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) began as a group of pilots who were interested in building their own airplanes. They have grown to a membership of over 200,000 people who love aviation. Inspiring young people to experience the freedom of flight is one of EAA’s greatest obligations to assure a strong future for aviation. Click below to learn more:

Aviation Technician Careers
Boeing estimates that the commercial, helicopter and business aviation industries combined will require 769,000 technicians worldwide by 2038, including 193,000 in North America. There are many opportunities for employment in the aviation industry today as a certified aviation technician.
